Privacy Policy

Account information

When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive information needed to identify your Bloom Better account, such as your provider account ID, email address, display name, and profile photo if your provider shares one. What we receive depends on the provider and your account settings.

Garden and plant information

We store information you choose to add to your profile and garden, including display and garden names. Website submissions may include a waitlist email address or the plant name, optional scientific name, optional contact email, and notes included in a plant request. Plant data may include plant names, selected species, photos, care events or history, notes, and requests for plants that are not yet in the care library.

Bloom Pot and device data

If you pair Bloom Pot hardware, the app may save readings such as soil moisture, light, temperature, humidity, timestamps, device or pot identifiers, and the plant or pot associated with a reading. Bluetooth access is used to find, pair, and configure nearby Bloom Pot hardware when you choose to use those features.

If the app asks for Wi-Fi details during setup, those details are used to configure the device. We do not intentionally store Wi-Fi passwords in the Bloom Better cloud database.

Diagnostics and technical information

During testing, we may receive limited technical information needed to diagnose problems and protect the service, such as app version, device or operating-system type, timestamps, feature activity, and error or debugging details. The exact information depends on the platform and services involved.

How we use information

• Provide account access and save your profile and garden.
• Show plant records, care guidance, care history, and sensor readings.
• Pair and configure Bloom Pot hardware when requested.
• Review requested plants for possible addition to the care library.
• Debug problems, maintain security, and improve the product.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate Bloom Better. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database, storage, and other backend services; Google and Apple when you choose their sign-in options; and hosting or deployment providers for the app and website. They may process information on our behalf under their own terms and privacy practices.

How information is shared

We do not sell personal data. We do not use information received through Google sign-in for advertising. We may disclose information to the service providers described above, when you direct us to, or when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or the protection of users and the service.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, garden, plant, and reading data while your account is active or while reasonably needed to operate and improve the service. You can request deletion using the in-app option where available or by emailing admin@bloom-pots.com. We will review the request and remove Bloom-controlled account data unless limited retention is reasonably needed for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons. Removal from backups and provider systems may take additional time.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate for an early-stage service. No app, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Bloom Better is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Bloom Better changes. We will post the revised policy here and update the date above. For material changes, we may also provide notice in the app or through another reasonable channel.
